Anyone wanna help me install a shift ****? I dont wanna twist my shaft trying to get the stock one off. Im willing to give you a free brand new NRG shift ****. I work here so i get these all day long. Just let me know which style you want. I just picked this one up for myself today...

i had the same concerns as you. SO i called heri at westcovina nissan and he changed out the shift **** for free and only took less than 15 min to do.

so call him and ask him if he can do it for you.

I dont know heri but he hooked it up anyway

Manual Shift **** removal.......!

The reason they're so hard to remove is the factory added thred locker
so they wouldn't loosen......good idea until you need to remove them. It
requires some pressure to remove......I'd use vice grips/towel on each end
and swing away. If it took the dealership 15 minutes I could complete the
process in 6.....

its easy to do yourself. Just need a vise grip w/ an old radiator hose to hold the shaft below the old ****. Have a friend hold that in place while you twist off the **** (may take a while and some strength) after that just screw in the new one.
