A Visit to the State Referee...
A Visit to the State Referee...
Well, I don't think any of you, or even me would think of it
But I just went to the State Referee for Emissions check up today
and THEY JUST MADE MY DAY
so I thought I'd share =P
So I got there at about 7:00 AM, my appointment was at 7:20, the assistant guy was there but the main Ref guy wasn't. The other guy was really friendly and he just told me to sit tight and wait, then told me if I wanted to get some food where the cafeteria etc etc
So the referee came at around 7:40 with a bag of McDonalds and I began my check. He just strait up told me I failed visual for the Injen Intake without a sticker but he can do the check if I want etc, was real friendly about it.
"I mean you probably know the car best so if you know it'll pass it'll pass but I'm telling you we have to fail you for visual becuase you have to have the sticker on it."
So I was thinking well, I might as well get a paper saying I at least passed emissions*** for now so I was like okay I'll do the test. Near the end of the test he goes, "well I guess you're lucky" and he just passed me for the visual too. So my visit without taking off anything was a success =D
I guess it was the McDonalds, or they were in a good mood, but overall they were really nice and friendly to me... I thought I'd never feel this way about visiting the state ref, but they seriously made my day better

I went to the station in Whittier, its 30 bucks for the check, and 8.50 for the certificate if you pass. You're technically suppose to to have everything stickered up with CARB #s otherwise hes going to tell you its going to be a fail etc, its a gamble of 30 bucks, but just insist on doing the test anyway? I'm not sure, one of my friends did the same thing with a pending part and got signed off but it doesn't always happen >< gl

I think I'll just remove the intake and go in. Hope he don't spot the spacer.
