Cali Speeding Ticket Advice

Today while driving, I received a speeding ticket for 70mph in a 40mph zone. I can't take traffic school because I received a ticket probably 8-9 months ago. It was most likely a residental zone.

I was cited for CVC22349(a) Maximum Speed with laser at 593 feet.

What is the best way to minimize fines/punishment?
Will my license be suspended for going 30mph over speed limit?

I know for 100+ on freeways its automatic license suspension.

Thanks.

It differs state to state, but here in PA, 90 day liscence suspension for 26+, it may be less or more but it is definitely suspended. I would contest the ticket. There are guides that will make the officer **** has pants and get no or reduced ticket.

When was the last time you were trained on laser equipment?
How accurate is the laser at x amount of feet?

And there are many more that I am unsure of, but it should be an easy find on the internet.

wow... 70 in 40 zone... you need a heck of a luck to get out of that! i wouldn't bother throwing money away for a lawyer. just go to court to plead guilty and hope the officer doesn't show up. but it does depend on which county. i know some in inland, they would show up.

lol if he pleads guilty the officer does not need to show up. Guilty means guilty, he pays the fine and gets a point in his record.
70 in a 40 zone is still an infraction and is treated as a regular speeding ticket. As i said earlier, ur best bet is to fill out a trial by written deceleration and if it is LAPD non-traffic division then most likely u will get out of the ticket.

if u want to avoid paying over $1000 to a lawyer then go ahead and fill out TBWD. Just know that u have to post ur bail when u turn in that paperwork.

+1 trial by writen declaration is your best choice, you'll have to pay bail amount, plus write a small summary of what happened and why you plead not guilty, if the officer does not respond with his summary, which half of th time they dont, or half of the time he will most likely not remember the stop details as much as you do, they will dismiss all charges and will refund you your money, happend to me about 4-5 months ago and i beat it, pm me for more details.

good luck!

ticket

I am a m.p in the navy and ive been told before by cops out on town to switch the court date they give you. All officers have certain days they have to appear in court. These are scheduled days for the month. If you change it you might get lucky and they will be off duty or not able to show. Was the cop being a di@k about it or was he cool. Most of the times i have been pulled over they let me go just by saying i was speeding....Ive gotten out of 33 tickets so far.
