i need a beater

under $5k

it needs to run and get ~30mpg on the highway

any suggestions?

better yet, any hookups? glenn?

hmm....
old civic si around 98-00?
those around that price $5K, not so sure. I check them last time for my cousin
but it won't get u 30mpg may be close to that

just my thought

get a crx, my old bullet holes everywhere CRX got well over 40+ mpg...guess it didnt hit the tank

I'm more of a Toyota/Nissan guy. But it is a beater, after all. Maybe I should look at a Civic.

It's weird that that never even crossed my mind, hah!

for cheap beaters, try Craigslist, if you can put up with dishonest whack-jobs.

Suggestions: I've narrowed my beater search to Civic, Accord, Prelude, Integra, or a G20. I may also consider Sentras, but they seem to always be in crap condition

Top of my list would have to be an Integra or a well-maintained Prelude (hard to find).

Yea, hard to find now but they pop up in oc, but keep looking, i sold mine 2 years ago $3500 original everything...even holes from early 90s haha

I have a feeling that if I can mod it, then I will.

I need to get something that doesn't have after market parts available.

Early 90's Civic hatch. Can get one under $2k and they get 30mpg easily.
