Mountain/canyon runs?

Any of you guys do cruises through the mountains/canyons here in SoCal? I'd be interested in tagging along with you guys on a cruise or two.

Ehehe Are you sure about that?

Send me a PM, as we prefer not to publicize them too much.

I hope you guys realize I don't mean I'm looking for races to the top with cash involved... lol... Just follow the leader type things. I'd stay at the back and only work my way forward if I can take the corners faster.

The last all-car-make Angeles Crest run that I did with the Motorgen guys, I worked my way from the middle of the slow pack to the back of the lead pack and hung there until the end of Angeles Crest... You can see my car at 2:36 in this vid with a several second lead over the GTO and the EvoX (they were going slow but apparently after I passed the Goat with my V6 he decided to speed things up a bit... I still didn't see him in my mirror the entire time after I passed):
http://www.motorgen.com/vid/showphot...9/limit/recent

Pretty much all the cars there had at least 50 (avg 100-200) rwhp over my car, and I still had street tires on the front... Looking to get some Nitto NT555R2's mounted and heat cycled before the next cruise.

rofl @ map. I'll have to check that out some time at a safe speed... Hopefully before I get the R compound road racing tires.

Last time I went to go to the Azusa Canyons I got pulled over...apparently I "exaggerated" going over a dip when I angled, got pulled over and the other 2 G's I was with took off (smart move you guys, seriously). Cop said I was doing 60 in 40, (BS we just got on the road), then went to say my muffler is too loud (not true, I don't have a muffler ), and after being searched and put in the back of the patrol car I walked away with a ticket for being too low.

Lesson: Don't attract attention when going to the Azusa canyons at night, cops patrol the area going up there quite often and blame it on "gang" activity and calls they get of people "disturbing the peace."
