Questions on paint matching
i am getting a new front bumper for my G, but there are couple questions i have here..
1. since the car is an 04 in IP, is it really impossible to paint match an old IP color?
2. i am thinking about taking off the clear bra on the hood and fenders, and since it's been on there for almost 5 years, will the color be off compare to the place that didn't have clear bra?
anyone have this kind of experience before?
thanks.

its hard to match IP believe me i know!
if you paint your car the mix that came off the mixer without messing with it. The paint will be too white. If your painter mixed it to be darker a bit. The paint will be a bit yellowish/darker than original
also the end result of the paint will always be different from steel, poly, fiberglass

IP is probably the hardest to match.

As others have stated, yes it is more difficult to paint match. I've seen the work R&J has done on other vehicles and it came out great. Haven't seen an IP done, but I took mine to MOB Works before I knew about R&J and they did a good job. I just think my bumper may have been mounted on too tight, but color matching seems to be dead on. I can provide pics if you like.
