Re: OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
I can agree with Ed on this one also.

Clint is the man when it comes to open track events. he knows what he is doing. He is the one who actually taught me how to race at big willow springs.

Clint is a wonderful guy and is not shy to help so guy if you can have the chance to go, go for it.

Sorry Clint i wont be able to make it to this one. That weekend i have to go to Washington DC and present on my research i have been doing for the last year or so.

Have fun.

MyLilBlkG,
Certainly! By all means bring your friend(s) and feel free to enter you friend in the list. I love those NSX's. ... was very close to getting one myself. I'm a certifiable NSX aficianado (aka freak)

Re: OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
This is great. Got lots of people. The more the merrier. Hopefully some or most of you are novices so we can band together. Don't want to be the lone G novice out there. =P Free timing devices would be nice too to determine improvement througout the day.

Re: OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
Yup, looks like a decent pack is forming alright! I think I could sway us free timing device no problem at this point, but of course ... don't quote me on it

dklau33 don't be intimidated There will be many novice runners at any given event. Some even have tracked for more than half a dozen times, but prefer to stick in the novice group simply because they feel more comfortable driving at 8/10 rather than all out. It is afterall more about having fun than to scare one self. I think you'll be just fine.

Cheers,

Clint (THX723)

Re: OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
I'm a novice, so don't worry there is at least one other. I plan to have some fun with my car, and drive it like I stole it =)

Re: OCT-1 ... Open Track event (Buttonwillow)
Just a for the sake of planing ahead ... as it stands:

Friday: OUT (who was I kidding w. this one :P)
Saturday: 4 votes
Sunday: 4 votes*

* Randy's vote for "whatever day Clint goes" was a lie He'd rather have Sunday.

So far it's a split. So unless we get more people in the list and vote ... it may get down to a flip of a coin. Sunday, however, will likely be less crowded. That's not necessary a good thing or a bad thing as in either case you WILL have more track time than you know what to do with.
