Thumbs up lsx swap/emissions

hey guys my names emelia. i used to live in socal... westlake.. and moved here to indiana right after i got my license basically, ive been here a couple years and now am really into the whole car scene. i wanna do an ls1 swap and all that fun stuff thats legal here but illegal there. which might actually prevent me from moving back cuz all the dumb headache laws. does anyone have an lsx swap? or even testing ur luck w a cat delete? ha. im just curious to hear what you can actually get away with. laws r so strict out there its a joke. thanks

if you want to run an LSX with no cats then I see no way you're gonna pass emissions

you can't swap a different manufacturer motor into a different platform and still be legal in california. You can swap different motors within the same platform, it is legal. Theoretically you can swap a GTR motor into your g35 since it uses at vq block and a modified FM platform.

easiest way is just keep you indiana plates and registration and make sure your car is quiet is hell so you don't get pulled over and get a ref ticket.

^ what is the reasons for that law? Sounds odd since the main concern should be emissions and not engine platform. Maybe California has a lot of chop shops?

ls3 erod again!!!! people have done it legally in cali on japanese cars... they are simple to wire to... ive done paddle shifters with one swap, but on a 67 c10 that retained cats (this thing still haulled as much as our maggie sc camaro and the c10 still pulled close 1g on a skid pad test without pushing it that hard)... that is why they produced the erod line... california emission certified crate motor
