I have been pulled over three times since I have owned the car. Cops love me. The last time was yesterday. The cop gave me a ticket for failing to stop for pedestrians. It was kind of hard to stop for them cause they had just began to walk and I was already crossing the crosswalk. I didn't argue with him cause I knew it was pointless. By the way, they have to make their quota. I was asked by the cop to pull behind a car that was already pulled over by another cop. Then another cop pulls over a woman in a BMW. Three cars getting tickets at the same time!
While he was writing the ticket he asked if I had modified the car at all. Only the wheels I said, and he's all telling me how "hot" my car looks.

I have an ex friend that works for LAPD.
He's not the sharpest tool in the drawer, but he told me the whole, gotta meet "quota" system is a myth. They get brownie points for everyone they write up, after accumulating enough points, it earns them paid days off.

Wow Charles!

I hope I don't get pulled over anytime after Christmas. I don't think I have anything stock on the intake or exhaust now. And you know the way I drive, I'm surprised I haven't been pulled over more often. Fortunately they are always overwhelmed by the G's good looks and the big wheels to ask for about any other mods. I hope I'm not jinxing myself now. Any way.

Later,

Ray

Heheh, Charles. I just got a window tint ticket a couple of weeks ago. The cop let me off on the front license plate. We chatted about how much he liked my ride, but still gave me a ticket for my windows. The cool thing is that he set the fix it deadline 5 weeks out. So if I get pulled over again in the meantime, I show them my get out of jail free ticket.

My very first ticket in my 300ZX was in Irvine (I think). He was not nice.

I can't believe Cali is getting that strict on exhaust. I have straight test pipes on the Z, but I'm not too worried about it here in MN since the rest of the state belongs to rednecks...j/k.

Good job on being respectful to the law. It's all about that attitude, or 90% of it.

That doesn’t always work. I got a fix-it ticket (for tint) once and was then pulled over for the same infraction two weeks later. I wasn’t cocky or anything when showing the officer the ticket. The cop proceeded to look over my vehicle with a microscope and found four additional things for me to “fix”.
