SOCAL, Stay away from master auto !

MASTER AUTO IN LAKE FORREST, NOT LICENSED TO DO SMOG AND WILL FAIL YOUR CAR AND MAKE YOU PAY, also they they completely tried to rip off a friend of mine who is an easy target for sketchy mechanics to charge for unneeded service, charged for a special "euro" oil filter on a bmw which i found out was bs, charged for a tire rotation they didn't do, friend went in for break pads and tried convincing them the rotors and disks were done, checked them out myself and they're fine, called them to call them out on their shadiness and the guy not only avoided my questions but accused me of not knowing what i was talking about, i hope i never have to deal with this guy again, posting this in e30 forum aswell.

Try reporting it to the BBB or even the California Weights and measures if they don't do their advertised prices. In Chula Vista I reported a shop that advertised $12.99 oil change on MOST vehicles and I took a older 4 Cyinder car and they denied doing it...When I asked what car they would do, they just responded "Most vehicles, but not yours" We need to put an end to shady mechanics

Thanks for the heads up. Gotta love those shady shops with fake reviews. Stay far away from Anaheim Wheel/Tire as well. You can check out their Yelp reviews...four and a half stars, with 6 filtered reviews. All those reviews came in shortly after I reviewed the shop.

I dont trust yelp most times. it is moderated by the shops themselves most of the time and is very misleading.

trust me if you need a mechanic in Lake Forest go to corner 3 garage. once you go there you will never go any where else.

I found a lot of good businesses on Yelp, I'm the first one to review Corner 3 back in the day and check out their reviews now. But you are right in that some businesses do advertising campaigns with Yelp and you need to be careful since a lot of shops write reviews for themselves. Most of this can be weeded out with common sense. If you see a shop with all good reviews by people who have barely written any reviews, it should be cause for skepticism. Power to the people! And yes, Nima and Steve at Corner 3 are awesome!
