Stop Raining !!

i just got new volks and they look disgusting because of all the rain. i have to fight the urge to clean them cause i know its just going to rain again.

sorry guys, im just venting.

actually...what are u guys doing about the rain and the general upkeep of your cars. it is cool to leave the water spots and grime on there. Should i rinse off the dirt real quickly...

My freshly detailed (maybe a week later) 350z got caught out in the rain. So I left the the waterspots. On Sunday, I thought the rain was over, so I cleaned her up with Mother's Quick Detailer. 20 minutes later it started raining again. I give up. I'm not cleaning until the rain is completely over.

Seriously, this rain's gettin' old.
I'm definitely feeling your pain fellas. It's pointless to wipe her down because the weather is really suckin ***.

I've been here about 5-6 years now... Is this what El Nina or Nino was about?

You are Lucky Seriously, can you imagine living in the Great White North where the temperatures don't get above freezing during the winter months (right now it is 21F and it is snowing so hard you can barely see across the road). We have to deal with slush, ice, snow, salt, and sand, and when we try to rinse the crap off the car it freezes immeadiately. I can't imagine winter without scraping ice off the windows and going skiing, skating and sledding and of course hockey outside.

So really guys quit your whining about the rain and remember it could be worse.
Wayne,from the Great White North

Once again, is this what El Nina or Nino was about?
Which one was the rainy one?

IIRC, it's El Nina w/ the rain during the winter. El Nino is the dry heat during the summer. I got the paint sealant thing from the deal at a very good price, so I don't get water spots, just dirty rims and some dust on the paint.

We are experiencing a minor El Nina weather event this year, and hence the extra rain. Personally, I'm pretty fickle about water spots, etc, so after I get back into the garage at the end of the day, I give my car a quick wipe down [even if it is going to be raining the next day].

I used a really great product on my car, this crappy weather will be putting the "polymer" through the ultimate test. Cuz my ride looks pretty damn fugaze right now.

I know I am out of my territory, but I dream of warmer climates and sometimes wonder what it would be like to be able to wash and wax my car in the driveway in the winter. Heck !, I would love to give it good wash once a month. I had to brush snow off the car 3 times already today.

Like I said sometimes I REALLY envy you folks in the warmer climates. sunny and 65 you say oooooooooo it would be so nice
