hey guys, What happened to me last night is very sad in my own opinion... tell me what you guys think.

I bought an INGS front lip day b4 yesterday from a buddy of mine. It was an authentic lip painted diamond graphite and had some scrapes on the bottom. I bought it anyway and had it painted by a body shop in santa ana. I went last night to pick it up and the guy did a great job. I asked if he would put it on for me also and he agreed. He was putting it on and I thought he knew what he was doing b/c he did work on my biuddies car and a few of his friends. Anyway, he finished installing it and I drove out on my way to where I had to go. I was on the 22 W passed golden west and I hear a thud. I look in my side mirror to see what I ran over and I saw a few pieces of something swing up. I drive until I get to the first exit on the 405 and I pull over. I get out of my car to see my lip MISSING! The lip slid off and scraped the sides of my front bumper. I am pretty pissed and I am going to the guys shop on monday to make him pay for a new lip and to re-paint my bumper. DAMN my luck sucks. I went out 2 hours after it happened to try to find the lip but I couldnt. I am thinking that since I ran over it it was shattered into a buncha pieces all over the freeway.

The dude didnt bolt in on the bottom, didnt bolt it from the license plate frame, just bolted it infront of my tires on the sides of the bumper from the back. I thought he had an alternate solution but I guess not. Man, This sucks!

The body shop isnt a big one but a little shop on first and harbor. I only went there b/c my friend said they were hellla good. man oh man my luck....

 

Well now you know they are not a good body shop.

Kamal.. sorry to hear that... but try doing theengine 3 times in a matter of weeks, then yo'll know what bad luck is... Son't mean to minimize what oyu went through, just to cheer you up by telling you that it could definitely be worse... good luck. When i firstsaw the title, I though that you had blown your engine...

 

Damn, that really sucks man. You really have to be careful about where you bring your car in terms of body shops. Hope everything gets better.

yea true, Gurgen I did make it out to be worse than it was. Your right about your luck being worse than mine. You guys are right, now I know the value of going to reputable places to get work done. Oh well right... it just sucks though but watever. Thankx guys.

Sorry to hear about what happened to your Ings lip.... that sucks! The shop or the guy better step up and pay for everything... Also, sorry for not returning your call from Friday... I was hella busy this weekend - completely overwhelmed with stuff going on....

Do you want to know the name of the shop that I went to to get my kit painted and installed? It's in Lake Forest, and they did an awesome job (and Dizz can attest to their quality of work because he took a family member there to get their car repaired and painted).

Anyway, let me know if you need anything and/or give me a call again.

dude I havnt gotten a chance to talk to the guy yet. Last time I went in, he wasnt in so I gave it a few days so I could surprise him... Ill keep you posted man. Thankx for the interest
