Wow that sucks JKDman. Hope for the best of the situation. Now on the may not make it thought. I have some stuff going on at the casino. has to do with a large jackpot winner. I may be able to get up there after all, but just in case. I just wanted to let you all know that the loaner car might not make it.

Later,

Ray

So what were the results of the Dyno Day?

Anything interesting plots with the Motordyne Plenum vs. Stock?

Enquiring minds want to know!

DYNO DAY RESULTS: MOTORDYNE SPACER MADE POWER!!!

on my car, which is modded with:
TS ECU
K&N filter
z-tube
kinetix hf cats
stillen dual cat-back exhaust
ground kit
crank pulley

got about a 5 hp gain on a mustang dyno. my before numbers were about 220 and my after numbers were about 226. after you calculate a 30-35 percent drivetrain loss(for the mustang dyno plus drivetrain loss for 6mt) we gained about 8 hp with the spacer. we are speculating that at redline, the spacer would gain even more, but the dyno did not get up that far.

hydrazine will have the complete results of everyone's dyno on file in a few days.

Everyones #'s were low on that dyno even the FI guys. I guess all dynos read horsepower and torque differently some higher, or some lower. I dynoed last week on a dynadynamic dyno and pulled 254.5, but on the mustang only a 226. I know that I have more than 226hp and 206tq with all my mods. The only thing I can say is that there were gains with the spacer even though max hp were low. The cars were never removed from the dyno that tested the spacers and the coolant temp (monitored) was the same for the cars on all the pulls, 3 pulls without/ 3 pulls spacer installed. All and all I had a good time yesterday during the dyno day I'm looking forward to the next one!!! David and Randy I got the SC G35 vid ready to go from last night give me a address to send it to. The file size is 54mb.

The coupe that tested the spacer (Dizz) was completely stock (except a z-tube). Dizz did 3 pulls stock and 3 pulls with the spacer with the same coolant temp for all pulls and the car was never removed from the dyno. I just wanted to answer did a stock car test the spacer question. Hopefully #'s will be up soon.

I also received the same gains like NP did. You guys may or may not believe me, but my car takes off like a bat of out hell now. Those who rode in my car yesterday could definitely notice the gains.

As for the low numbers, the only thing that I can say is that it was the Mustang dyno. Ask Randy why his car only pulled XXXhp. I will agree that the numbers are low compared to other dyno runs or even the last socal dyno day held at Church's but as low as the numbers are they did show a difference of hp before and after the spacer.

My first stock(I truly do mean stock.) baseline run was 202hp. My first run with the spacer was 210hp.

I mentioned that I will be posting the results up as soon as I get my bearings together, but for all the skeptics, haters, naysayers and crawford kiss a sses, not only do we have the results but we have 7-8 witnesses that can testify to the gains that I received, Nutty Prof was the last car to run and everyone pretty much boned out by then. But if that's still not good enough for the skeptics that think this inexpensive yet effective mod doesn't work, Derek(dsskyline) and Danyo(dohctor dan) were kind enough to video all of our dyno runs.

If someone is kind enough to host the videos it would be greatly appreciated.

Tony, you have great product and I couldn't be any happier with the results.
And repeating what others have said, Motordyne's customer service is top notch.

Hey Derek, for the video that you burned me yesterday, I'm unable to see video yet I hear audio. What codec do I need to download?

And thanks again for filming and sticking around till the very end, even though Dan and I left before you.

Dizz and Nuttyprof, so what thickness spacer did you guys use for the tests?

Sorry I had to take off, how long were you guys there?

As for my numbers, it was 217HP. Tony later noticed that one of my bolts in my crawford was totally loose. I hope that I didn't have an air leak when I ran.

The mock 1/4 mile run was 13.998@100.237

Oh yeah, mods are:
popcharger
Z-tube
Crawford V5
1/4" motordyne spacer
polished lower plenum, intake manifold, throttle body
UR crank pulley

all on a 5AT coupe with brembo brakes/stoptech 2-piece rotors and stock 18" rims/tires

I would like to thank you all that participated in the 2/19 Dyno Day. Your testing and reporting the results of your mods, especially the MD Spacer is much appreciated by myself and I'm sure the rest of the G35 and 350Z community.

As I was reviewing these results, I noticed at the bottom of the screen list of threads of related subjects.....one was a comparison of Mustang vs DynaJet dynos......Link......the thread shows that the Mustang will read lower than the DynaJet but for comparison purposes of before mods and after mods either type is fine.

Again, great job everyone that spent your time and $$$ to dyno your cars and thanks for sharing the results!!! It sounds like you had a great time doing it.
