Any of you SoCal crazies wanna go sky-diving with me?
I'm addicted to the "most extreme sport ever" now, and was curious if any one else would be interested in going. I jump out at Perris (off of the 74 and 215) about every other weekend.
I'll see what clout my whopping 6 jumps has as far as discounts, (I'm also related to one of the mechanics. . .hahahaha!) but know that there are standard discounds based on the number of people that go.
You can see the drop zone's website here for more info.
I got a video for my first jump (a tandem) and it was by far one of the funnest things I've done and definitely cool to watch. . .
Each weekend I've gone has been a blast, since I get to drive the ortega highway (CA74) out to Perris from Dana Point, then jump, then drive back again. How can you beat a fun drive with a mild adrenaline rush, followed by an extreme sport extreme adreline rush, wrapped up with a nice soothing fun drive mild adrelnaline rush on the way home? LOL
Anyway, just throwin' the feelers out there. . .
l8rs!

Sweet Drew!
I was addicted when I made my first tandem jump a few years back.
My intention was to go back and do the AFF, but never got around to it. I will definitely consider it, but a couple of weeks' a bit too soon. Too much stuff currently on the plate. I'd say definitely towards the end of the year!!! Sign me up!

Drew – I’ve never jumped before but it seems like it would be a blast to caravan to and/or from... Since it's out there a ways we should be able to get a little "spirited" with the drive!!!
My only reservation is I may to too nervous on the way there to get too wild - and possibly wiped out from adrenaline afterwards.
Right now it seems like a great fit though - A bunch of Gs screamin' through the desert to jump out of a plane!!!!!!
F Yeah! Let's do this!!!!

oh man... I'm in! I jumped in New Zeland at 15,000ft. The best part is the view. It's amazing. It was my first jump and I had to go tandem but stangely enough the scariest part was the climb up in the airplane, about 10,000ft to the jump point. The second we were in free fall I had no worries at all. hopefully I can go solo now.

Sweet y'all. . .I'm takin' notes. Like Clint said, it probably won't be until Oct/Nov timeframe, just to make sure I can get it planned out well.
For first timers going tandem, you get to pull the "rip chord" which is actually more like a golf ball, and it's attached to your right hip. They "only" jump from 13k feet here, which is really 15k above sea level (yeah, math gurus, that means Perris is ~2000 feet up ;-)).
I'll keep monitoring this post and then go from there. L8r jumpers!

it's not like a roller coaster at all
since you have no frame of reference
it's more like
a lot a lot of wind
you can't actually see/feel the ground coming up at you.
I remember we got a group discount since we had 10 people, but it was 180 per person for the tandem jump, and like another 100 for a video. But if i recall if you get the certifcation they were talkign about above, it's only 20 bucks a jump when you jump on your own.

Prices for tandems are cheaper. ..I wanted to check for prices on larger groups tho, just in case.
