clear bra help
clear bra help
Right now my grill and my bumper are severely chipped and my oem front lip is cracked. Talk about crappyness! So I plan on repainting my grill, repainting my bumper, and then adding a gialla lip. My question is, since i'm planning to add a different lip, should I put the clear bra on my bumper after it's repainted, then put the lip (on top of the clear bra) and then put the bra on the lip? Or should I put the new lip on the repainted bumper and then clear bra the whole thing (difference is the bumper undearneath the front lip area will not have a clear bra). I guess there would really be no need for a clear bra under the new lip but I guess it'll make me feel better knowing that the entire front bumper is clear bra'd. I'm not entirely sure how the process of the clear bra works so maybe they'll remove the lip when they add the bra? what does it usually run anyways to strip and repaint an entire bumper?
Just repaint the bumper first, then put on the bumper. Get a custom made clear bar. Because if that way, everything will be one paice, there will be no gap between the bumper and lip. I can hook u up with body shop and custom made clear bra. send me a PM if u need the infor
im currently searching for a local shop too.. from what i read, repainting the bumper is not that cheap... i might consider just getting a new aftermarket one..

wow...really. i didnt think it would cost that much. But yea, let me know when u find a place so I know where to go when i do mine. Are you doing your hood too? My hood has a lot of nicks/chips too.
I just got my front bumper stripped and repainted. It was $250. I was looking foward to get the clear bra on my DGc. The price quote I got from the local certified installer was bogus. So I bought from www.invisiblemask.com Now the local shop won't just install it-you would have to order through them.
So is there any shop around socal where they just install the bra? (preffereably 3M certified ones, but it doesn't have to be...) My G is sitting in garage until it gets clear bra on.
