All I can say is I was there and so was the M5. No FI and my car is built pretty well...there aren't really any mods missing and some other custom work as well.

M5 stock to stock is the faster car, but if you add a few mods and take into fact the m5 is a****y hill climber even on a small slop. I own both cars my m5 is stock causeits my wife car it. My G35 being my toy has been bored to 4.3L N/a is a AWD coupe yes AWD coupe the dealer trips out every time I bring it in. has i list of mods from custom bore full susp runs and ave of 1.30sec faster then in the 1/4mile then m5 so its been done, vrt does it all the time.

Like I said all -

If you build it right, they will loose....

All motor NA builds, can beat many others out there - even FI cars - don't doubt it, accept it when your FI that it can be done.

I'm all for FI, btw - just love the motor too much to play with it that way.

my sister has the new M5 and i have the APS TT, haven't tried off the line yet but on a roll, we were pretty much dead even. when racing on a roll there's not much skills needed, get into the right gear and floor the sucker.
