THIS WAS ONE HELLUVA WEEKEND!!!
First off, i'd like to thank Clint for arranging for us to be part of this.
BTW Clint, i'm giving you an Initial-D nickname: "God Shift"
Those that rode with clint will agree.
THURSDAY:
The drive up was a great drive.
Meeting up at Denny's for brunch, and then we were on our merry way.
At times, we were hitting VERY illegal speeds but it was done in remote areas.
Thankfully, no one got popped by the popo for anything.
We arrived at the hotel, checked in, unpacked and headed out to dinner.
Dinner was great. AWESOME food.
(A lil distance to get there, but mleh... whats another 40 miles on top of a 300+mile day right?)
We get back from dinner, shoot the breeze, tape up the cars, and then we knocked the fugggggg out.
FRIDAY:
RISE AND SHINE NUCKAS!!! 6AM!
I'm running a little late because TOM was busy workin the douche.
We all get ready and roll out to McDonalds for breakfast. HAHA!
(Vaguely remembering something about bananas but whatever...)
We eat up, and head to the track.
Soon, we're on the track!!!
Let me start off by saying this track ROCKS!!!
Such a fun track.
BTW, for anyone who cares, i got flagged down for excessive decibels. (exhaust)
I went over the 92dB restriction.
Screw it tho. HKS STILL ROCKS!!!
I just had to ease off the throttle when the checkpoint came up.
We saw many different cars putting out some sick power and putting on a great show.
I think everyone was awestruck at the performance of that IP sedan owned by none other than Clint. Hats off to you, man.
"REEL EM IN! COME ON!!! WHOOOOHOOO!!!"
Just plain ****! So much so that his car even says it during the turns!!! (LSD)
"tit tit tit tit tit!" YEAYUH!!!
As for me... car-wise, i fell in love with the Lotus Elise.
i took a ride in one with Aaron? (clint's cousin) behind the wheel.
HO LEE SHYT!!!! This thing is insane!!!!!
This car is seriously meant for the track!
Wish i could have taken a ride in that jet though... i mean NSX. HAHA!
We saw one C5 Z06 get totalled tho. Find pic in post below.
That was sad, the guy made out of it ok. He walked out of it.
We got MANY laps in and everyone appeared to have learned so much about themeselves AND their cars.
It was a GREAT experience.
I can't wait for the next event.
I think everyone agreed that the G's held their own and were impressed by our own rides.
My best time for the day was 2:05.62
Over-cooked brake fluid and that damn noise restriction killed my times.
We'll see how i do next time around. I'll be better prepared.
SATURDAY:
The drive back home was PHENOMENAL.
The scenic route was like a big long canyon run.
Almost 100 miles of twisties and then at the end of it long stretches of road where we went 100+
It was a gorgeous day. See pics below.
We stopped by Solvang for lunch and then parted ways.
A fantastic weekend to say the least.
But without further adue... here are the PICS!!!
I'll post them separately in chronological order.
ENJOY!!!

Its really hard to teach someone to drive when they dont want to listen. You all did great. I think Clint can agree with me on that. He was my teacher over a year ago
Sorry I had to split guys i had to go meet up an old hunny in SB.
DAMN THERE WERE A LOT OF CHP

Clint, my hat off to you!!! You truly are the "Shift God" and Brake God. I want to thank you for the great pointers on how to handle the track on what to do and where to do it. I hope that I didn't make you too nervous when you were with me. Also Clint thank you for taking my son on some rides with you he had a blast.
Avo also thank you for giving the time to take my kid with you as well, I just wish I was able to get in on one with you, but we'll do it the nest track meet.

Gentlemen:
I am just dying to look at all those great pics and lament not being able to make it with you. Sounds like a fabulous time was had by all, and most importantly a safe one. Looking forward to making the next trek with you. Clint is definitely the "man". Be careful or he will do toyou what he has done to me!
Cheers

I don't have the fundage to keep up with you man.
I can't wait to see your car in person, though.
I've heard many many good things, and followed your threads in FA as well.
Keep up the good work.
Oh and you got a winner as far as exhaust is concerned.
But, we're gonna have to figure out a way to get away from the dB restrictions if there are any next time.

Yes! it was a great time for all, even me until the last run. I just got the car home today, it's sitting in the garage for now. I don't know if you guys were just trying to make me feel better, but I was told my best time was 2 minutes? That's great for a first time. Any way I'm working on the options to get the car fixed and we'll see how long it is out of action. I'd like to say that I'll do it again, but I don't think my wife would agree with that. Clint and Avo, you guys are great and your instruction was so helpful in getting me more comfortable with the car and how to make it handle.
Thanks a lot to all,
Ray
Thanks a lot to all,
Ray
You know it man!!!!!!!! But now looking at the pics on www.extpictures.com I wish I could have found a different way to protect my car but oh well.
Ray,
I saw with my own eyes.
Me and Alex were looking over the timesheets.
You were 2:00.xxx and that's all i remember.
Which is a phenomenal time.
Look at your vids man. You'll be able to time it yourself from start to finish.
Let us know how it goes with the car man.
Glad u made it back home safely.
