I have the VRT + 5/16" spacer - engine cover on my sedan. No rubing issue with the lines but it does touch the liner of the hood. I'm interested in this bar because it is inline with the towers rather than canterlevered out past the towers. It probably doesn't make a difference in performance but I'm still interested in this piece. I would suggest that any buyers consider a lower tie bar as well to completely box in the frame, top & bottom. For those who don't know what the "feel" of a stb is like, I compare it to changing from worn tires to new tires, the car just handles better and is more responsive.

BTW, nice looking welds and brackets.

If you are concerned about the AC line rubbing, wrap it with a small piece of hose and a zip tie.

 

here is a pic of the rubbing and the workaround. This is the 1st sedan we installed/tested on, want to get another one in so we can confirm it the issue.

So the bar uses the shock mounts, correct? Just wondering (I've never done any work like this before), when you remove the stock nuts and bolts from the mounts, do you have to jack up your car first to remove any pressure on the shocks, or can you just do it with the car on the ground?

 

yes, the bar will clear the crawford plenum, as long as you are not using the engine cover...please check first post for payment info and also PM me once you have sent your deposit/payment....thanks

yes the bar mounts onto the stock mounting points...for all of the installs that we've done, we have never had to jack the car up...

 

You wouldn't want to jack up the car to install the brace.

 

yea, jacking up the car might cause the strut bolts to drop....
