That's the only difference between the polished ($200 shipped) the CF ($265 shipped).

i had the same issue! and my car i got it brand new no prior damage, i manage to fit it but then it would hit on the hood liner so i removed it and i guess it clears ok.

when i press down on the hood when its closed i can feel were the bar is except at one point towards the middle of the hood there is no clearance its like a perfect fit,

Should be fine right???

he told me to unscrew the nuts on top of the struts and you can push the brackets out a little more. That's what worked for me.

yeah i ended up doing that and it fit, only issue i had was with the hood not fitting. just took off the hood liner and it everything seems ok? (still seems like it is touching but more along the lines of a perfect fit.. tomorrow im going to give another go at it. imma have my brother push down on it as i tighten the bar make sure it doesnt creep up as a i tighten it.

THANKS!!
