Well I finally did it this morning and it was a PAIN IN THE A**!!! Here are the Picrures.....

Well after driving to work today and back. My review is that the cold air intake is worth it (w/ the sacrifice). The car felt so much better and stronger.

 

I'd figure that the airflow would suck due to all the groves in the makeshift piping?

 

looks good D... besides the fact that it looks like someone took a leak on your car...LOL...

 

ya that is probally detramental to the airflow. im not knocing on the diy but the fact that the airflow is probally turbulant instead of smooth

 

I see yalls point and I thought about that before I bought it. But would it make a huge difference since it still has to go through the blower and all the piping and then into the plenum? Unless you mean its turbulant for the blower, but its still alot better then what I had beforem. A dirty filter that sat infront of the motor and sucked up all the hot air.

 

I know. I just finished washing the car!!

 

looks good daniel, any outside air (no matter on the tubing) is better than the hot engine air. .

 

So that's what happened to the air duct to my dryer

 

i agree that the intake air temp is probally lower hope that it works out

 

Yup Ronnie, you didnt even hear me creeping last night when I took it, I even copped a feel while you where sleeping!!!

 

Looks good man. I'm not looking forward to the same project myself, but I'm going to route my filter to in front of the bumper like the turbonetics kit.
