Angry A/C stopped working HELP!!!

My ac was working fine one day and now it stopped. All it does is blow warm air. I checked the freon and it was fine and I even recharged it. The compressor seems to be working fine but im not too sure. Can anyone help me??

Can you see or hear the clutch engage when you turn the a/c on? any mods done recently?

Angry

Thanks for the reply guys! I thought I heard it clicking but now Im unsure. The compressor was quiet I didnt hear any unusual noises when the ac was working. The belt is worn but it is moving, I hear the fans going on and the idle changes a tiny bit when I turn the ac on and off. I checked to see if the vaccuum sensor underneath the steering was connected and it was. The one thing that did throw me off was the freon psi reading. I read it in the red in the beginning so i let someout and it was still in the red. So I emptied and refilled it with less than the maximum and it was still in the red. I think ive checked everything, how can I make sure its not the compressor?

If compressor kick on then its not the compressor, try changing the temp setting and see if it makes any diff.

try a different gauge. i would say like 25% of them are messed up.

when you turn it on, it should click and the front of the compressor should lock up and start spinning. thats where you need to start.

there are a couple fuses that would control the AC as well.

have you done anything recently to the car??

I havent done anything to the car but wash it. I actually just bought from a mom and pop place on sunday. I dont hear it clicking on and off but it is always turning and never doesnt turn off with the a/c on or off. If its spinning does that mean the compressor is working?

You need to look at the clutch on the front(face) of the compressor if it is spinning, the pulley is going to always turn. turn it on and make sure the front turns. You should hear a slight click, if not maybe low on freon or blown fuse or relay

I hooked up a guage and read below 0 psi. It was about 80 outside. I put a 16ounce can in yesterday after I pretty much emptied it. If it wasnt enough would it read 0 psi still? Does anyone know how many ounces it takes to get the required 1.22 lbs?
