transmission and rear diff

hey guys. I am having some trouble, if anyone can just give lead me into the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I own a 03 G35 coupe. its auto. I want to flush the transmission fluid and rear diff. the car has 85 k on it. I was told that do not change the transmission fluid, its has limited life. I really dont want to go to the dealer because its expensive. My cars response is slow like if there was low transmission fluid. so thats why i just want to change it. If anyone has an idea please let me know. Thanks for the time guys.

Even if thats not the reason its a good idea to do the flush. Bad fluid can lead to the tranny burning out.

You can take your '03 G35 to any mechanic and have the trans/differential serviced. Make sure they use the fluids Nissan recommends. Do you have any idea when this service was done in the past or ever?

It's a real easy DIY as long as you're not scared of being under the car whilst on jack stands, ramps, etc... Follow the owners manual for recommended oil.

Have you ever had the transmission fluid changed? If not, flushing it at 85K could lead to transmission problems if this transmission is anything like other cars. Bits of 7 year old debris stuck to the internal parts can get flushed downstream and clog up your solenoids etc. Drain and fill may be less risky. I do not know how the service is done on the G35 auto transmissions though, whether this applies. Perhaps someone else with specific knowledge could chime in.

get the tranny fluid flushed..i checked mine the other day and it was dirty at 66k miles. im getting it done by infiniti on monday for $245...making them match nissan's price They quoted me $350 originally =D

These infinity have lsd? make sure you buy lsd fluid for your diff

Any recommendation with 113k? Fluid does not look bad but i'm getting ready to leave from KY and move to VA however I do not know the history of the vehicle's maintenance.

I would not recommend flushing the trans. either. Like Mr. G said, the particles break apart and will start clogging components.
