Noise when starting cold??
2003 G35. Every time I start it after its been sitting for at least 3-4 hours there is a loud squealing sound for 5-15 seconds and then is fine the rest of the time its on. I would assume its something with the belts but im not too experienced and figured Id ask you guys. The sound is directly affected by the engine rpm. So if the engine rpm changes so will the sound but only lasts a couple of seconds. Any info would be great. Thanks.
FIXED just needed adjusted.

Check for a frozen (or partially frozen) idler pully or maybe it's just a loose belt. You should have about 3/4" deflection at the top when you press on it. Jack up the car, use jack stands or ramps, and remove the engine undercover. Loosen the center nut on the pully (14mm?) and adjust using the adjuster bolt looking straight down (behind the pully) till u get less than 3/4" deflection at the top. Re-tighten the nut.
