It might be the power steering pump. Mine has been making noise lately.

 

I just started to get that same exact sound yesterday. I have an appointment for other stuff on Monday (10th) at the dealership. But I want to drive the car until then.

Do you guys think it's safe to drive?

Follow up.. Dealer said the sound was the result of a very much needed brake pad and new rotors. He said that there was less than the minimum legal amount left on the pad (inside pad). Oops.. It shouldn't cost too much

 

panda007, what exact noise was the wheel bearing making? Did it sound like a ticking or clicking? Something like marbles rolling together?
