You dont really need this light during the day, and at night you can just turn on the overhead light, but i only really keep my insurance and registration in there so i dont use it too often.

this is totally not normal, and infiniti knows about it. read my other post here...https://g35driver.com/forums/tsb-technical-bulletins/135886-glove-box-gap.html
then take your cars back to the dealer so they can fix it

So do the 07's

I had to do this for my glove box because my seat is all the way back and the light peeks from inside just enough to annoy me. A 0.50"x0.50" foam piece the length of the width of the glovebox solved the problem in 30 seconds. Peel of the backing and stick it in place...and it looks factory, and its graphite colored too so it seamlessly blends in

Where's the ingenuity in this forum?! Hit Home Depot or Lowe's and fix it!
+1...Normal.

No more glove box switch...the light comes on and stays on as long as the headlight switch is turned on to parking or headlights.
You'll have to seal the door better or just take the light out.

yea its normal.
I bought sticky tape velcro in black
and taped the soft side of the tape
on the inside of my glove box door.
worked perfect for me.

Yes there is a TSB on this

I have the same problem, but i dont wanna risk the dealership screwing up my car anymore then they already have, so I think I will just deal with it for now

They are just supposed to tighten the latch on it or whateverz I guess

Well, if there is a TSB on this, I wonder what they are going to do. Unless there is a switch or button somewhere, tightening the latch will only mask the light.
