ECU relflashed by Technosquare = Kick@SS! Where to Dyno in San Diego?
This is a long rambling rave....
Having a little doubt, I went ahead anyway and dropped of my G at Technosquare (to get the ECU reflashed) in Torrance yesterday during work, of course! I thought of getting a Utec prior, but it was too steep for $900 + dyno tuning fees.
My 03 auto coupe only has NA mods: hypergrounding wires, popcharger intake, Z-tube, crawford plenum, skunk2 5/8" plenum spacer, DC headers, hi-flow cat, and borla exhaust. There was increased in power, but the G doesn't jump up right away and accelerate when I step on the gas - it's only an auto.
Picked it up afterwork and $595 later, holy shiat, my G is freaking-beast now, kicking @ss ride!! This has be to the best mod I've done by far. The ECU was reflashed, reprogrammed, retuned, incorporating all the other mods I've done to better engine response and performance. And oh boy, I really felt the immediate surge in power and noticeable torque. I tested VDC on and off (even better), stepped on the accelerator and the G just lurched forward and took off. I could not believe the improvement in accelaration and power and this is an NA automatic!
I had the VDC off and shifted to manual tiptronic mode, OMG, from the red light, I stepped on it and shifted - the G kicked in gear and by the third gear, I was passing 60 mph in what I felt and thought was about 3 or 4 seconds. It was rediculous. The rev limiter was raised from 6500 rpm to 7100 rpm.
I drove down from Los Angeles to San Diego last night - what an incredible drive, the surge in power was so immediate and unreal! I could just felt the G just jump up and kick forward - freaking amazing. I'm totally sold on Technosquare! Stepped on the gas and off I went, passing cars, jumping from 80mph to 110 mph like nothing!(of course in a less congested section of the I-5 by Camp Pendleton - my old 2nd-phase bootcamp site)
I can only imagine if this was a manual and turbo charged! However, I only want to rebuilt and upgrade the NA engine and then get reflashed again for $150!
By the way, the VRT front strut bar really elevated the suberp handling of the G also.
Now I'm San Diego for the next couple days, anyone know a good Dyno place I can go to? I'll post the dyno results afterward. BTW, I'm also getting the Teinflex coilovers, going to track days at Willow Springs Raceway this weekend.
Anyone else also has positive experience with Technoflash! I am just too ecstatic not too share. Thanks.

I just went to the dark side and supercharged it, Stillen Stage 4....couldn't resist a great deal.

I'll try to go to Dyno Day in SD. First dyno ever, I wish I did it while it was still NA. It's going to be interesting to see the actual numbers, can't wait.
