Shawn, would flatter AFR 3.5-4K rpm show any more gains? Is this typical hunchback AFR result of cams angle tradeoff between DD and WOT? Thanks

EvolutionGSR, that is also how I felt first time on the base Osiris map. Now try some wider front tires for these fast turns …

jibnasty, AA reflash is not competition to Osiris - there is contest. IMO you cant go wrong with UpRev.

Well I do have 245's on 8.5's in the front, and am not planning on going 9.5/10.5 with my wheels....BUT.....my suspension is stock.....and I've already made arrangements to take care of that. Just need free time to install.

I know you're asking shawn the first question on your post, but if you're referring to the AFR that I've posted, that was my AFR before he tuned it.

As was mentioned, that was the initial AFR. And the answer to the question is "yes" One of the big reasons for the gains in the midrange was richening up the mixture to a more optimal one. Combined with optimized cam timing and a touch more ignition advance, we got the final results as shown.

Great.
After seeing green/red AFR lines on that monitor photo somehow it looked as if they are pre/post AFR of this dyno-tuning so I thought WTF …

Please post current AFR plot.

Cipher log would nicely complement standard dyno chart – I wish that more people were posting their Cipher logs.

re: 'flywheel'

The flywheel ratings are yes, at the hub where the dyno is attached to the car. Technically those 'hubs' are called flywheels. It is the attachment point of the dyno to the car.

To test 'engine' flywheel HP..gotta pull the motor, and then some ;-)

At the risk of losing a near future spot at Shawn's shop - I will say he is one of the good guys when it comes to performance!!! He's not out to BS anyone - and is one of the most knowledgeable around! Customer Service is exceptional!

Now, I should have said he sux hoping that no one will go see him (it's all about me ya know - LOL)... I have a feeling reserving a dyno tune with Shawn is going to get more difficult as time goes on... I better hurry up and get in line!

Shawn, you have PM!

OCG35, git 'er done!! LOL

You won't regret it. Anytime you feel like you get used to the tune, Switch back to stock map and drive for 2 blocks. haha.

I plan to! But I'm not sure if I will have as vavorable results as others... I have TS ECU re-flash (twice)... so it's tuned pretty good already... I guess we'll see how much better Shawn can make it!

I think its worth it because any future re-tune is at a much lower price. With church's its affordable to add a part and get a re-tune, and repeat it over again.

Any shops in AZ that can do this? I could buy the product and flash, but a custom tune would be best.

6MTG354ME,

Let me know if you can get a couple people together for tunes. I have some family in the Tempe area so coming out is always fun for me and its only a 5 hour drive (I can make it one tank of gas in the G). I'd be more than willing to do a few reflashes while I'm out. Tim at Xact dyno is a friend of mine if you want to use their dyno, but any dyno is cool.

Hmm, I just got the G35 a week ago, so I dont have any 350Z/G35 friends out here yet. I'm going to search the boards and see if I can get some local people together. Thanks Church!
