well, i just got my UTEC installed and tuned by Juan and Dave at Function Tuned today. they were very helpful and taught me some things i didnt know. i guess i learn something new everything...my baseline was about 218whp/forgot the torque, and after the tune, i was able to get 230whp/forgot torque again. left the dyno sheet in the car. but after everything was done, and when we were trying to put the glove compartment and all the stuff near it back on, we were ONLY able to put the glove compartment back on. has anyone else had this problem as well? hopefully i'll be able to post up pics tomorrow to better show what im talking about because right now its dark and cold as heck.

You mean that you couldn't fit the black piece under the dash back in?

yea, the part that goes under the glove compartment. i'll post up pics soon. i need to find where i put my camera...

Yo, that is some half A$$ install!!! The entire thing is sticking out!! No sure how the 06-07 have changed but 350z and G35 2003-2005 all are just right next to the ECU behind the glove compartment. It is a pain in the A$$ to install coz there isnt much space but it will fit.

Edit:

You may need to cut some part to make it fit but it will fit at least for 03-05 cars. I don't think there is any changes inside the car for the 06+ anyways.

the way the ecu is placed under the glove compartment is diff in the 03-05 and the 06-07. i was hoping anyone had any suggestions on how to place the utec better...

Did you call Utec and ask if what is their recommendation? PM Audible Mayhem and Sharif and ask where they install theirs. All I'm saying is that is just plain ugly!
