Like Mike (OCG35) stated, you can either get it via mail or get it customed tuned by a certified Osiris tuner in your local area. You can also get it "E-Tuned" online for free if you give them data logs from the cipher; its the closest thing to a real dyno tune if you can't get it tuned in person (which they charge, by the way).

The user-tunable version should be here any month, but you shouldn't tune your own car unless you know what you are really doing.

What will UpRev tune for you when you send them the data logs? Is it just air to fuel ratios or are they able to adjust cam angle and timing for you?

In person, yes. But I believe wootwoot123 was asking about the "E-Tune" from sending in the graphs to UpRev. They cannot do the cam portion of the tune (from what I hear), but could give you a little more aggresive timing.

wootwoot123, your best bet, if you really wanted to get the timing/cam angle as close as posible to "perfection", then a certfied local tuner would be your best bet.

They tuned my cams alittle too aggressive uptop so they took out some timing.

Yes I am asking about the "E-tune". I know that to get maximum power a custom tune with a tuner would be the best way to go but it seems more economical to use the "E-tune" especially if they are able to adjust all the parameters that a tuner would adjust.

Actually wootwoot, we charge less for a complete Osiris reflash custom tune with multiple maps than you would pay for a off-the-shelf and mailorder tune from UpRev HQ. The difference is with the mail order setup, you can put the flash on yourself and you get the Cipher software.

If you don't need to datalog, etc. then it makes more financial sense to do a tune from a vendor. And even if you want the datalogging and flashing capability, going to a licensed tuner is still worthwhile because you no longer have to pay full price for licensing, etc. Instead you just pay the hourly tuning rate. Starting from your mailorder flashes, custom tuning only takes another 1-1.5 hours.

my Osiris tune from Church was $100 (or so) cheaper than e-tune

However, Osiris e-tune is a great alternative to mailing ECU... very versatile product for those near a tuner as well as those is rural areas with no tuner.

Mike, the E-Tune from UpRev is completely free. I'm assuming you mean getting the Osiris + Custom Tune from Shawn is cheaper than getting the Osiris + Cipher (and E-Tune, which is completely free) from UpRev's website.

Getting a complete tune from a certified local tuner is much better though, as you probably already experienced

Going to Church Automotive to get an Osiris tune was approx 100 cheaper than getting Osiris & Cipher from Uprev and having the tune emailed.

You can’t get an Osiris tune (from a tuner or Uprev) without paying for the software/license. So when I stated my Church tune was 100 cheaper than e-tune, that's what I meant.

Re-Tune's via e-mail are free (for now) from Uprev (after you make the initial purchase)... so for each new mod you can re-tune for free yes. But I really don’t see the point in tuning after every little mod... it makes more sense to me to get the majority of mods then tune. (However, I've done many things regarding modding that weren’t the most sensible, like having TS flash X 2 then whipping it out to get Osiris - so maybe I'm not the best person to speak about a sensible approach )

Mike, just got my economic tune. I drove over 100 miles with 1/4 tank until the light turned on. This thing really does make a difference, can't wait to calculate the full tank.
