On my way home tonight my car suddenly started running like sh*t. The check engine light was flashing. I limped home and pulled the Pulstar Plugs out of the engine. The number five plugs electrude was burned off. All the plugs had visable heat marks on the white ceramic. I phoned my master mechanic and he told me to get rid of them and not mess around with the spark. He told me I was lucky I didn't burn a hole in a piston. I put these in 5000 miles ago. A friend of mine got 6000 out of his before he was towed in because two Pulstar plugs went. I strongly recommend getting rid of these if you have them and would not advise anyone to buy them.

Thanks for the heads up. Saw the Pulstar ad in a magazine while waiting for my car to be serviced at the dealership. Was seriously thinking about these. Not anymore.

You mean Hilary Clinton really didn’t give birth to a 3 headed Martian baby in the middle of the Ozarks?

Exactly. That is the plug I use in every Japanese engine I own. Never a problem and they last at least 60K.

I said way back these Pulstar things were a joke, another gimmick. Get a real CDI unit if you want to increase spark energy.

Yeah. One of my friend had it in his 92 prelude with H22A swap, and unfortunately it was too late for him.... His second piston skirt and dome was cracked and had a nasty burn mark on this cylinder wall. Pulstar engineers try to claim that his injectors were malfunctioning. Anyhow, make the story short... My friend try to get them to pay for a new engine. They paid about 2/3 of the cost which is better than nothing, and they asked him to not to post the pictures on the forums or any website if they pay for the engine. It took him almost 3 months to get some results from them. Not good... Stick to NGK's...

^^^ Good lord... another horror story. I would have told them I'm posting it everywhere unless they cover the entire thing. I did a JDM H22 swap in my old Prelude - NOT CHEAP!

Mods this really should be stickied.
