^oh ok. How come they couldn't raise the rev limiter when they were working on the car with Utec? Or u didn’t think of bringing up that question?

They said you can't do it with the UTEC... you have to get a special reflash for the ecu.

My rev limiter is at 7100 with the Utec...I know cause i shift at 7k when I am at track....are you sure? Have you tried to see where it goes?

I never knew you could raise the rev limiter with the UTEC. Most tuners have told me that it wasnt possible, atleast back then.

.

Mike had his set at 7100 i believe before he got Osiris on his.

I don't know if it's possible. I'm just going by whats printed in the official manual. I guess its technically possible, but who knows.

All I know is that I've never seen any one claim to have tuned an NA car with the Open Loop Fueling option. Every NA tune I've seen has been via MAF-pulldown, which from what I understand, is much simpler.

With MAF-pulldown, the utec modifies the MAF voltage signal that the stock ECU receives, basically augmenting the stock ecu's fuel tables. In Open Loop Fueling however, the utec controls the injectors directly based on its own fuel tables.

What remains unclear, in the manual however, is if Open Loop Fueling is available via the MAF, or if its strictly limited when used with the MAP sensor.
