not getting defensive i just revising my post cause it was a bit misleading...sorry bout that anyways getting a retune isnt that much of a hassle to me but i can understand the logic and $ reasoning to get the exhaust first then tune..but was curious to do a b&a tune/retune with exhaust just out of curiosity to see what the tuner can really squeeze out..cant be hugn for wanting to do that..

not really what other breather can i possibly do other than adding a aftermarkter intake manifold (think it was kinetix) which i have seen a buddy of mine get tune before n after and wasnt too thrilled with results for how much he spent

I don't see any reason to get the UTEC over the UpRev Osiris for NA.

I would wait until you get the exhaust...then tune. Otherwise you would be throwing money away.

for some reason idkwhy but i been hearing that you can do more with utec as far as tuning wise but idk if this is accurate or not..but the way it was coming off to me was that osiris uprev was wonderful but tunning wise with gains on NA he noticed he was able to squeeze more out with utec... IDK..

but back again on the tuning before catback then doing it again after i get catback..i guess i would like to see a before and after with the exhaust ya know..and i can understand people not wanting to throw away money cause trust me money doesnt grow on tree's for me but i wouldnt really mind paying the amount to see what i really gain afterward... then maybe months later down the road i will spray n tune with soem headwork idk

^ I hear alot of things, but they all aren't true

For NA, alot of people have actually switched from their UTEC's to the UpRev Osiris.

were they happier or were there results better :/ ?? i mean dont get me wrong all i hear about is osiris n technosqaure and not really utec thats why i was a lil suprised when i was told that utec seemed to squeeze more...to be honest i am 50/50 on getting tuned before exhaust and after money isnt the problem its just i want some opinons or maybe advice to up towards... i orignally was goign to get osiris then heard about utec n then swithced..

i guess my question is is can you tap into the ecu and do all that crazy target air fuel **** and tweek things around like you can fromt he supposively utec... like can it be done on the spot at the dyno/tuning place?

I would ask for proof that more was "squeezed" out of a Utec vs Osiris. In a capable tuners hands our product stands in a class of it's own. Even if some how the Utec did manage to make 1 or 2 peak HP more, it's still a piggy back and not as integrated with your vehicle. The stock ECU is still in control most of the time unless you happen to drive around flat footed everywhere.

We work from initial cranking, to your RPM limit and everywhere in between. We can support (tested currently) up to 650whp on twin turbo cars with nothing more than Osiris and a modified MAF sensor. We do an exceptional job on NA and now we're just as capable in the FI world. We even work on completely stock cars for decent gains over stock.

+1 for Osiris. Osiris provides more control than the UTEC ever will be able to. There is no reason to buy a UTEC - except that the price should be dropping sharply with the release of Osiris v2.0.

I've owned a UTEC, but currently run a Haltech with an Osiris reflash.

For all intents and purposes, we turn your stock ECU into a stand alone ECU as far as most people would need. About the only thing you would get from a full stand alone at this point is arbitrary adjustments, added sensor input (if you wanted six O2 sensors or multiple oil pressure sensors), and on the rare occasion you would get some cool tricks like boost by gear, etc.

For the N/A crowd we do everything you'll need. For the FI crowd we do just about everything you'll ever need with the rare instance where you're either doing something weird, or you have a full built race car that will never see the street.
