Searching on here brings up way too much info. So much stuff comes out on a search it is hard to find exactly what you are looking for. It's like finding a needle in a haystack.

Not sure about the gains since I never had a baseline done but my 05 5AT put down numbers in the 270's for hp and 250's for lbs of torque, however mine was on the base map alone ($400) with no additional tuning, the flash was done by tim at xact, dyno was done at goodspeed on their crazy maha dyno.

r1's car is the best i've had yet with auto.

typically the gains at the very top are minimal as you seen is this 03 i just finished. it's everywhere else that the uprev software and custom tuning really shines.

EVERY car is different. most are really lean and so they're constantly in knock retard, but the factory map doesn't have much timing past 6k so that's why top end is not so changed. it's also why just a reflash isn't recommended.

r1's car was so lean and knocking hard past 6k. adjusting the map is what made such a difference. but most are like what you see here.

the uprev software is $400 all by itself. the custom dyno tune is additional $300, for a total of $700. btw, if you have any other nissan, uprev works on nearly everything from 2003 up. doing a s/c 08 titan friday and an M45 in a couple weeks.

the attachment is an 03 with about 85k. 6 speed with all the bolt ons, spacer, intake, shorty headers, HF cats, borla cat back. red is tuned, green is using the cruise control buttons to instantly switch it back to stock, and blue is switching back to tuned (you do this live too, key on or off).

Thanks again Tim!

I guess my Mods work well with each other. I am very happy with the results. I had a nice drive up through the mountains up 87 through Payson all the way to Winslow! I made it to the 4 corners area in 4.5 hrs compaired to the normal 6. Good times!

Except that the Nissans have not only a MAF but also AIT sensors. As the weather changes the tune adjusts. So no need for a summer vs. winter tune, unless the fuel quality changes with the seasons *cough**cough* california *cough**cough*.

Uprev ftw. . Personally, I think the best gains are made in partial throttle and in simple daily driving.

That just comes from the fact that these are torque monster motors. They really aren't peak power motors like most other imports. VQ and VK motors make solid torque from 2500-6000. B/H/F/K series Honda motors don't make any power till you hit 5500, so you have to be able to rev them to 9000 to get a decent power window.

Most import car owners expect that rush of power when vtec kicks in yo! Nissans pull hard from go, so you never get that surge. You notice the power gains more in daily driving or track use than you would in drag racing, at least till you get your time slip.
