2004 5AT Stock Run - Low readings? (Australia)

Hey Guys,

I took my 2004 Nissan Skyline V35 (Australian) 5AT to the dyno this morning to get a benchmark of where my Horses were before I install my mods:

(Mods that will be installed this coming week)
MD G35 & M35 5/16" Iso Thermal plenum spacer
MD G35 ShockWave))) TDX2
MD Advanced Resonance Tuning (ART test pipes)
Z-Tube and JWT Pop Charger Combo
Sxexcxs Grounding Wire Kit

The results I received were much lower than I was expecting / read on the forums. I've read that AT's lose about 20% HP to the wheels, but thought i'd post it anyway. I feel like i've just spent $3000 to be at the same place as a standard manual.

Maybe Australian Dyno's have different readings?

Potential Factors:
- Was a rainy morning - a lot of moisture in the air. (Just checked the weather report) 13(°C) and 78% Humidity at time of Dyno.
- Car arrived from Japan with 1/4th tank of Japan fuel that had been sitting in the tank for 4+ months unused. Refueled with 98 Octane to a full tank before Dyno.
- Would 3rd gear be the correct gear for an auto?

Anyway, here is the Dyno Sheet - let me know what you think.

I've enlarged the bottom right corner here aswell. Not sure what most of it means, thought maybe you could though.

I had many of the same mods plus a COBB tune and only pulled 224... mind you this was at about 1500 feet of elevation but similar weather conditions.

I didn't notice whether or not you were planning on getting a tune. With all those breather mods- I'm sort of taking for granted that it's in the cards.

Sadly, our stock platform is pretty uninspiring- I kind of understand the guys who flame G owners as retired widows and so on... 200 seems a little low but then again as you said environmental effects will have more of a part to play than with an FI setup.

That's a good amount of money to be investing in bolt ons... but it would be a real shame if you were to put these all on and then run into detonation issues because of running lean. Hopefully you're going to say "oh yeah, I forgot... I'm getting an Osiris tune at the same time" or something to that effect.

In addition- NOTHING changed my car quite like the transgo. If it's not in your near future... it should be.

Hey,

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah - Definitely getting a tune. Although i'm unsure how easy / Cheap that is in Australia. Still need to look into that.

A good tune should have me sitting above the 230 Mark (Hopefully)

Edit: Looking into it a little more, maybe a NisTune would be easier for me to get in Australia, thoughts?

Thanks for your advice on the TransGo Shift Kit, Just ordered one from Summit Racing and organised an install for $300.

I've also organised a UpRev Osiris tune from the UK to be mailed over to me in Australia, so I hope that works out well.

Will let you know how it all works out once i've put all the parts on the car, tuned it and redyno'd it.

I'm hoping it was just a bad day. I think the Dyno might read low.

I've also heard rumors that HP in the US is different to HP in Aus? seems kinda silly to me. Any facts to back this up / prove it wrong?
