BTW if anyone has any trips for cleaning up the rpm pickup issues on the g35xs I'm open to suggestions. Both g35xs we dynod had issues with pickup. in mph on a lower smoothing the car made 229awhp up top.

Really does the stock mid pipe pick up allot of power? I noticed that big *** resonator.

We recently tuned another 35x and it only made 231whp with header/stillen intake/stillen high flow and stillen catback

All the breathing mods support each other.

Next mods should be:

Dump the kinetix plenum. Has shown to LOSE power on the dyno.

OEM Revup airbox from a 2005-2007 6MT G35. New paper filter or K&N Drop in filter.

Instal the OEM upper and lower plenum with Motordyne 5/16 Spacer. Proven results.

Motordyne ART pipes. Proven power gain in the low-end over test pipes. You'll feel it.

Full Exhaust. Motordyne XYZ y-pipe with 2.5 exhaust.

Retune. You'll need a retune after those mods.

I don't see why I would drop the Kinetix, I seen the power increase on the dyno though it was less then I was expecting. I already ordered the test pipes because we did a buy in with kinetix. I really like the design of the plenum and it would not be prone to heat soak.

Since I just bought the part last week I don't plan on changing it right now.

BTW I'm a tuner so I touchup my tune everytime I strap the car down.

I recommended the Motordyne spacer due to it's proven gains over Kinetix.

Search for the dyno's of Motordyne ART pipes. It has proven tq gain down low below 3k rpm and upper rpm gains after a retune over conventional test pipes.

A proper exhaust is key, especially at the y-pipe. Here's a good technical read for our applications.

For tuner type questions, you'll probably get better technical answers and results asking on the my350z forums.

The kinetix pipe they tested is the 4 , I have the redesigned 5+ supposed to be 12% more volume. As for the art pipes like I said already got test pipes on the way. I might try some art pipes later. To my understanding the AWD Y pipe is similar to the HR pipe.

We will see what I gain with test pipes and go from there.

Would like to see the results on the test pipes. I'm pretty sure there will be gains after the tune.

The AWD y-pipe is ok. But, I'd also look at the diameters of your test pipes vs OEM y-pipe.

no i was exaggerating a bit lol but it has a huge resonator and weighs a ton...the cats hold the most restriction on your exhaust for sure....what test pipes did you go with?

The Kinectix ones, Like I said we did a buy in with them. We got one of the ssv intakes for a twin 20g 350z were about to tune.

Since I've got 5 maps I'm thinking about doing a nitrous setup

My goal is to extract the most power on a budget. It sucks that most of the exhausts don't work on my car. I would really like the Q300 or the MR OE_RS . Both I've heard on other platforms and sounded great. Might be adding a 75 shot.

jairen has it right. look through the osiris tuned thread cause 95% of us made 250+ hp with simple bolt on's. md plenum spacer, berk hfc or md art pipes, a NICE AND QUALITY exhaust, and of course a osiris tune. if you don't make 250 then sell the car and just get a genesis r-spec lol
