W/ all the different road maps is it safe to leave it in what ever you choose? I hear there is a GF mode as well.

I think the only one of real concern is the race map as you should be running 100 octane or above..

When I get my tune. I'm definitely integrating a 3500 rpm rev limiter on my economy tune. I have way too heavy of a foot

so i guess the eco mode has a limiter. I thought it would have something to do w/ the amount of gas

None of the maps come with limiters or anything. When you start a tune everything is stock in the rom file, whoever is making the tune manually changes everything on each map. That means setting the rev limiter on each map.
Typically I recommend:
1) power
2) economy (same as power but leaner under 3000rpm and low load-- above that defaults to power
3) stock
4) valet or "GF mode" 4000rpm limit and 70mph
5) anti theft (will barely run)

There's no reason to NOT leave it in the tuned map all the time, the performance map is optimized for performance and efficiency and thus is where your car will run the best.

But back to the rev limiter bit, you can set the rev limiter to whatever you want on all 5 maps. If you're getting it tuned somewhere just specify how you want it set.

Cool thanx. I just wanted to know more on the eco mode more. B/c when i hunk eco mode i think the car will get like better MPG in the city and freeway. Maybe 20/28 or something along those lines

The only difference is everything is mapped out leaner, which = less fuel and better MPG but worst performance. With that being said the factory map is already lean enough IMHO. As previously mentioned though the person who does the map for you has complete control over your AFRs, timing, rev limit, Speed limit, as well as a bunch of other stuff. when im driving around i normally just leave it in map1 which is my performance map. Map4 is my valet map which il use for exactly that or if i ever loan my car to someone. My 3rd map is factory which il use for "eco". But let me know if you have further questions or if your interested in purchasing Osiris.

I would not recommend running the stock map ever unless you absolutely have to. (ie going to the dealer and are paranoid)

The fuel delivery is very inconsistent--going from rich to lean with pockets all over-- and that's bad for your engine. If you have an econo map run that, I you don't and have the tuner version just pull some fuel from the low load areas so you're targets are around 14-14.5 at cruising and you'll see an increase

I was thinking of copying the base map and trying to smooth it out for a true econo map, maybe il just start from scratch and see what i can come up with.
