Osiris tuned today-results

I had Osiris standard tune installed and tuned today at Advanced Powerhouse in Toronto
Modifications:
Exhaust-Y pipe, Tanabe piping with Skunk Megapower muffler
Apex'i Intake in custom cold air box.91 octane gas

Base line 236hp/239 tg,
Tuned 250hp/242tq
Dynapack dyno.

160K km on the clock. I guess 250 whp is not that difficult after all.

Barely 250 with an MT? On a dynapack? At 250 feet of elevation? Was it REALLY hot and dry?

I'm not sure 250 with a 6MT has ever been that much of a challenge. Are you still running stock cats?

Any future mods planned?

Mods as indicated-nothing else is coming other than Quaife diff. Does shiny shift **** count?

Is something wrong with +15 whp gain?

A few have hit the 300rwhp mark without FI or nitrous on a DE. You're going to need to get a full custom tune. Look up the member "viceversa"... He recently broke the magical 300 number.

Look at my "mods". It is a STOCK car, those "mods" do not count. $80 filter +$600 exhaust+$650 tune=250 whp. Good enough for me.

FYI: according to your first post, your car is not stock.

I hit 253rwhp with a XO2 exhaust, plenum spacer, and CAI without any tune.

Thank you all for nice words of encouragement. I am gonna burn my car and shoot myself now.

Shall we measure who's got bigger kok too?

I started this thread as reference tool for those who consider tuning, stop shitting in it. Please and thank you.

Lulz. Listen, all I'm staying is that your gains are on the low side considering you have a tune. If you didn't want to risk getting any kind of criticism then you shouldn't have posted a thread.

Dyno numbers are just that.. Numbers. You can't compare dyno to dyno since you'll get up to a 50 who difference with the same car depending on who's dyno you go on. It's a tool to measure improvement not a standard you can compare with someone halfway across the country. SMH

if you're looking for peak numbers than that's not bad. But a good tune, even N/A or stock should see an upward shift of the entire powerband, not just after 5K. usually a solid bump in tq as well. any A/F chart?

what's with all the dyno comparo? if you didn't use that same shop for your measurement, your dyno doesn't mean anything against his. you can only make an analysis based on what's on his chart, the gains he made (or didn't make) against HIS baseline.

not bad...and your running a CAI??
by chance did your tuner increase timing?? and you're driving a sedan, correct?

I have a sedan also (M35) and dyno'd my car on a dynapack...was pleasantly surprised with results...then added more mods along the way

NEAR STOCK (K&N drop in, stock mufflers w/xpipe and 2.25" piping from cats) =
BASELINE
whp: 229 @ 5953 A/F: 13.79
Tq: 228 @ 4938

with Osiris tune=
whp: 252 @ 5952 A/F: 12.98
Tq: 238 @ 4767

add'l mods
(5/16 MD plenum spacer, K&N drop in, z tube, 2.25" dual exhaust piping from cats - xpipe, high flow resonators - to stock mufflers)

whp: 265 @ 6300
Tq: 245 @ 4745

(5/16 MD plenum spacer, MD MREV2, MD Isothermal gasket, K&N drop in, z tube, G35 Ypipe, Megan exhaust 2.5"mid pipes & axle backs, NGK spark plugs)

whp: 281 @ 6408
Tq: 255 @ 4693

all above mods w/ BERK HFC's:

whp 290 @ 6570
Tq 262 @ 3799

...I think if you feel the difference after your tune, then you're good......
