Bluetooth quality
#34
My wife has been complaining about the Bluetooth as well. She has a Motorola 880. The Bluetooth seems to drop the call even when the phone has plenty of signal. I'm not a NEXTEL fan even though both our phones are NEXTEL so I'll always reserve some blame for them.
The phones paired fine and I've been able to transmit numbers. It's just the dropping the call issue.

Bluetooth quality
I have an LG VX8600 with Verizon service. I have noticed that everytime I make a call or receive a call there is a lot of static. Is this normal for Bluetooth as a whole? This is my first car with Bluetooth. I had an 06 loaner for two days and I tried it and it didn't sound like that. Is this worth mentioning when I get my first oil change next month?
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
Neil

I tried my roommate's Blackberry 8100 and it worked so much better (night and day). I will have to try another phone that I would consider from Verizon and see if it works better than the VX8600. I am happy that it is not the car. Will keep you all informed on next phone and the performance.

No significant problems with a couple of Samsung a640 phones on Sprint. Paired easily, downloaded most of the phonebook on one and all on the other, and consistent reports of excellent audio with little indication I'm not on the handset. Every once in a while the car can't pick it up, or the phone can't pick up the car, when I get in and start it up. I have to cycle power on the phone and it works again. FWIW, Pete

I have a Treo 700P (verizon) and have the same problems as others have listed.
incoming calls sound nice and clear however outgoing quality is extremely variable I'm told.
I'd say in 90% of the calls I make people tell me the quality is horrendous...sounds like I'm in a tunnel, garbled, underwater, etc...
The number displayed is always incorrect too
