Music box help
Music box help
When i rip a CD that is a compilation of different artists (ie a soundtrack from a movie or show) the songs are all split up by the individual artists. The entire soundtrack does not stay together. Is there a way to tell the music box to keep the entire soundtrack in one location? The album info does show the soundtrack title but the artist label is what keeps the songs from staying together it seems. I was thinking of trying to delete the artist's names from the music box and just leave the soundtrack title to see if the songs stayed together. I did notice on one cd that i ripped that the music box did not find the title or artists and the entire sound track stayed together as unknown.
Any thoughts? Thanks

Tell it to play by Album and you should be fine. If you aren't sure what I'm talking about (or anyone else who reads this isn't), go to the menu and scroll through the options. There is an option for play by artist, play by album, etc and you can just choose play by album and it should work just lovely.
i believe you can also edit the artist, wholesale for an entire album in the music box settings section... not in front of my car right now so i can't give you the exact instructions but i do think it's doable.

^^^I did this on one of my albums because I wasn't yet aware of the update ability with the CF card. It changed it for when you pulled up the album but it did NOT change it when you tried to search by artist or when you were looking at the track info.
Maybe I didn't do it right - that is a real possibility.

Can you elaborate on the CF update thing? I am not really sure what you mean.
For example, I have an album I ripped that it didn't know the track info so it named the tracked with the date, like "05.27.07-12
01-01" and so on. I would really like to fix this, hehe.
