Will Inifniti ever update the G and allow the car to sync the phone's phone book?

Same here. All you do is go through the following options (when the car is ready to receive).

Start --> Bluetooth --> Bluetooth Send Object --> Contacts --> Select All

maybe im doing something wrong, but it only lets me sync my phonebook contact by contact...which is quite friggin annoying. I have a treo 700w now, but had the same problem with my Q as well.

I have an LG VX9800 and infiniti's site says you can't sync the phonebook, will they ever fix the problem?

That's exactly how I did it. If you have a lot of contacts, it takes a little while for the Q to actually select all. I actually thought my phone crashed the first time that I did it, but a minute or two later it was ready to go.

I am a brand new owner. Just got it yesterday.

When I try to synch my crackberry it instantly looses the connections. I mean instantly. I have everything set up properly on the blackberry. Weird.

If your phone allows you to save contacts you can send them via bluetooth to the car...otherwise...its all manual. At least thats the impression I got, I haven't even had the car for 24 hours yet.
