Is this what you used? http://www.electotronics.com/pacvci-...universal.aspx

I'm not sure about the rear view camera and how that would be incorporated. Here is a good thread on rear view camera and nav...

I hate to sound like a noob, but I am very interested in purchasing the Garmin GVN 53 and would like to know what else I would need to make this work properly. Can you explain the VCI-X? I am also confused, does this unit work while the vehicle is in motion, regardless or bypass/hack?

So i went on pac's website and the G37 isn't even listed on the all applications list for the VCI-NIS1. So maybe it will work on the 07 G35? Anyone try using this?

Is it possible to have the GVN go straight to the map display when you turn the car on vs. using the remote to scroll throught the startup screen?

Would this work if you used a regular garmin gps system, one that has a video display outlet??

^ To my knowledge the ONLY Garmin that has RCA Video out capabilty is the GVN 52 or GVN 53. None of the portable automobile GPS on the market have video outs. I havn't found one after 2 years looking. Have you?
Did you ever find someone to help you with the car lcd video staying on?
