Now, I know that's more expensive than EverythingG35 but since the parts are free (I won $250 for parts in a draw they had) I figure this is a good way to spend it.
Do I actually need the kit from EverythingG35.com or could I probably get it to work with just those 2 parts? I have the Bose SOW, No-Sat, No-Nav
Which steering wheel and console controls will work to operate your iPod functions?

The two parts you mention are for the iPOD Gateway and the Harness. What you will also need is the iPOD cable(connects your iPOD to the iPOD Gateway). The other materials in the kit are some install instructions which are irrelevant unless you drive a Quest/Nissan as well as user manual instructions for that specific radio. I have found the instructions pretty useless. However the kit also came with the iPOD Cable, ties, grommet, and padding you can use to adhere the iPOD Gateway as well as additional padding that I used to protect wiring etc. The padding includes an adhesive that seems really strong so dont use the padding except in your trunk because I think it would be tough to get off any other surface without maring the surface.
Regarding the steering wheel controls. I dont have the premier sound system or NAV, so my only available options were Mode, up/down, and volume. The mode works just like before no changes (toggling between AM/FM /CD/AUX etc), volume works as before, the up down selection appears to change between iPOD modes (Artist/Playlist/Album/Song etc...).
