Do we have any idea on a completed test date for the demo boards, so we can finally get our hands on one? I've been itchy since I first saw the thread...

I can't give an estimated date because the initial beta testing will be done by individuals that offer their time for us to use their vehicle. My G is an '04 so I can't test it on my own car. Unfortunately, in the Dayton, Ohio area there arn't many people willing to help out. Most of our testers drive at least 1 hour to help us out, so we work around their schedules.

Once we get the local testing done the 5 people from this thread will be offered a discounted test module just to verify that the modules can be installed with no issues, and then we'll start manufacturing the boards for sale to the public.

Too bad I don't live closer, I'd gladly let you use my car. I'm on board 100% for this. It is so TOTALLY frustrating to not be able to access more than the first items on screen when moving. I have a good brain and I know how to use it and to realize safety from non safety.

Michael just left with a perfectly working KPtechnologies Navigation Bypass for his '08 sedan!

This is the first car to use the 'finalized' module so this is very exciting news.

I will be contacting the 5 test people sometime within the next week to arrange payment and shipping!

We have a limited number of test circuit boards so our test group is limited to a few people.

Hi Kevin... this looks great!
Can we expect an update from you here when this is ready for purchase?

The OK button never bothered me much, being that I could hit if with the steering wheel button, but I hate being locked out of navi options while rolling.
Can't wait to get my hands on this!

Darn... I guess we will just have to wait for the official release then
Are there any plans for an initial group-buy?

We will make an annoucement here when the production units are ready to go. If there is enough interest we will offer a group buy. At this point it looks like there is plenty of interest!

Great news. I had been following the post on the KPtechnologies forums, and was getting worried when there was no update in the last few weeks. I was almost to the point of hanging my Garmin back in the window.

I'll get in on a group buy for sure.

I ordered the parts needed to populate the circuit boards today, so by the end of the week I should have everything needed to build the test modules.

Not enough interest to justify surface mounts?

Looking forward to trying it out!
