You should take a look at your vehicle, and make sure you have a way to get the camera's power cable from the license plate area to the wires that power the backup lights. My car back up camera was also installed on the license plate. The camera is designed to mount on the license plate, and should get it's power from the same wires on the wire harness that power the backup lights, so the camera is only transmitting when the backup lights are on.
It will not be too difficult to install the camera to your license plate, try it out. I had ever seen an article which wrote about how to install a back up camera, you may click here to get more information.:http://blog.espow.com/install-backup-cameras/

I installed an OEM camera in my non nav G35X
It came with 4 wires.
If you look inside your trunk lid, you will see a female plug. Follow those wires to a connector above the driver's side wheel well in the rear fender.
2 wires for video are shielded.
You can splice those, run them through the back seat, under the carpet , up through the armrest .
I took out the IPOD plug because ipods are lame.
For the 2 power wires I spliced into my reverse bulb in my trunk lid.
It extends the life of the camera, only turning on when the car is in reverse.

Since I only use AUX to run my in car entertainment via bluetooth adapter (MP3, Spotify, Youtube ect) it's always in AUX anyways so the camera is always ready to go.
If you're listening to the radio, or the CD changer you have to press AUX to see the camera.

Coupe, Automatic
I'm going to be installing a BOYO VTL422HDL (Walmart $80) camera in my 2006 G35 Coupe. I'm very confused right now, looking at videos, posts, installation manuals, etc. Nonetheless, I'm going to try to install this camera and let you know how I did it, with photos.

My confusion:

1. Pioneer has an orange and white wire to trigger the monitor when the car is in reverse. This wire is included in the power connector to the head unit.

2. The BOYO instructions tell me to tap the red and black wires from the camera wiring to REVERSE LIGHT + and REVERSE LIGHT -

3. The Five Star audio youtuber says that the red and black wires should not be tied into the reverse lights, but rather into standard power and ground, and that the TRIGGER WIRE from the head unit is to be connected to the REVERSE LIGHT POWER wire.

4. Wrathernaught locates the purple REVERSE LIGHT POWER wire for the coupe (I hear the sedan uses orange) in the FAQ photos of his opus thread, within the shroud near the driver's knee kick panel (see photo below)

5. Others locate the purple REVERSE LIGHT POWER wire on a connector in the trunk

I'm not sure how my BOYO wiring ties into the purple REVERSE LIGHT POWER wire or the orange and white TRIGGER wire that comes out of the head unit.

I'll keep you posted. Any advice greatly appreciated!!!
