08 Sedan | Factory navigation | arrow tripping out
Lately, when I use the navigation, the arrow will start to spin around like a merry-go-round and lose its route. Then when it re-routes, it gives me a wrong route.
And on some occasions, the arrow will go off course and it'll look like I'm off-roading on the map!
Please H E L P ! ! !

one person had a similar issue but he had done the nav bypass, it turned out that he forgot to plug his gps antenna wire back in behind the center console... maybe someone did some install or something or dealership opened up for some repairs and loosened the wire.... so the question is did you have any work done back there?

well if you've never touched anything behind the dash then there are two options:
* your antenna is faulty
* the software is intermittently losing signal (seems less likely though since everyone else with this update is fine).
you can try re-updating the software (if possible) or rolling back to the old version and registering a complaint with infiniti but it sounds like you'll have to go visit them for this issue.

11/18/13 UPDATE | Finally fixed!! *crossing fingers
Sorry for the LATE update. Haven't been on the forums for a minute.
Navi is now working properly!! Here's a quick timeline of how things transpired:
I initially unplugged my car battery to "reboot" everything. It worked for awhile but not for long. I then took my car to the dealer and got the same dumbfounded responses as no one had ever seen this before. They updated my software but the problem persisted. Finally, they recommended to replace the navigation screen/hardware.
Fortunately, for unexplained reasons, my navigation started working all of a sudden! Not sure if the updated software took awhile to take effect. Or maybe it was from playing with the map display settings; I would change back and forth from "Bird's eye view" (which is the 3D-type view) to the one directly overhead (2D view).
I can't honestly tell you what is was that fixed it but I am just relieved that it is, indeed, fixed!!
