Is it possible to install subwoofers with the stock OEM navi unit? I read awhile back you couldn't but maybe times have changed. I'm looking to do something new to my car, I'm getting bored with it.

By "OEM navi" I will assume you have the bose system. I tapped the line level to the bose powered sub in the rear deck for my signal to my sub amp. You just need a power line from the battery to the trunk, which is not too hard. I am very satisfied with the Bose system with aftermarket powered sub.Originally Posted by Nismo86

actually if you search around the audio sub-forum here you should be able to find some threads that were posted on how to install it.

i also heard that u would have to remove the rear sub if ur gonna install a sub, due to too much pressure!?? anyone know if this is true??

I didn't. If it concerns you, just unplug the harness to the Bose powered sub--the driver would probably act like a passive radiator. When you add a powered sub, I don't think the Bose is giving you too much unless it adds some midbass.Originally Posted by pbabajan

This is probably the best link:

i'd also look on myG37 since the installation would be nearly identical.

I have subs in the trunk (signal coming from the rear stock sub) and the rear deck sub is still connected. It might as well not be though. Even when I didn't have 12's out back, I had disconnected the rear sub because it was rattling like a ****. I could barely tell the difference. Seems the ones in the door do all the work. Now its reconnected and either it stopped rattling or I just cant hear it cause I have REAL bass coming fromthe trunk.
I was real excited when I found out that I was getting a car with stock subs... and then sadly disappointed when I heard them. Not terrible, but when you have 3 10s in a car, you should be putting out some real thump.

if its possible maybei'll just try to take the rear sub out to allow more air flow!
