New HID's causing electrical problem?? Is my ECU fried?
So today I changed out my headlights to aftermarket 8000K HID's. I had 6000K in before this, and they worked fine for around a year. After testing and confirming the lights to work, I left my car for around 6 hours. I came back to test the lights again and when I go to turn them off, the headlights wouldn't turn off! Headlight stalk wouldn't do anything, high beams were unresponsive as well. Then I realized the key fob wasn't working, the door unlock button wasn't working, and so I unlocked the door from outside (reaching in through the window). The alarm went off as its supposed to so that was at least working.. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop though as the car was still unresponsive to everything else. Key wouldn't do anything. I haven't tried starting it yet and if that doesn't work tomorrow I'll try putting the OEM bulbs back in.. Any idea what could be causing this though? I really really hope these $20 bulbs didn't somehow screw up the ECU

Good news guys.. I jumped the car today and everything worked. I have no idea in hell what could have caused the car to freeze up on me like it did though. I'm still worried so I'll continue to keep an eye on it..
