What Springs To Get? Which One Is The Best?

I was looking around and i see people with eibach springs and H&R springs but which one is better?
How should we work on the alignment after we install the springs?

you might want to define what "better" would mean to you. when it comes to aftermarket mods, generally the question to answer is what do YOU want?

I was looking for something that would be more fit for driving on a regular basis and driving it hard when i want it to. It looks x1000 hotter when its dropped.

do you intend to also do new shocks? the more aggressive the drop, the more important it is to do new shocks.

this is particularly relevant on this car, as I find the damping rates on the stock shocks are a little low even for the stock springs.

someone with FHE can talk to which is more aggressivem H&R or Eibach. I have no idea (i'm running stock springs).

I heard HR and Eibachs are about the same drop and they are perfect fit for it and they run real good. Do you know anything about after installing the springs that we have to get alignments and other crap done?

You usually always need to get an alignment done after altering a cars suspension...it may not feel like you need one but you will eventually see uneven wear on your tires or a slight pull of the steering wheel here and there. An alignment is usually not that expensive and will cure all those things after lowering a car. You should usually wait about 7-10 days so that the springs settle before aligning.

How often should you get a alignment after lowering the car?

you should get it done 7-10 days after you install the new suspension and you should be fine but if you start to see uneven wear on the tires or feel the wheel pulling then you can have it re-aligned when needed. You'll know if your car is out of alignment. its kinda noticeable

It seems to me that mostly everyone that has lowered their cars on this forum has kept the factory shocks and struts in and just added the lowering springs. I think eventually the shocks and struts will need replacing after a while but its not a nessecity to replace them right away.

it's not about blowing the shocks. if you want your car to ride well with higher-rate springs, you have to run higher damping rates, or you will get oscillation.

those ghetto rigs you see on the freeways bouncing around like it's the business? yep, cut springs and stock shocks. worse handling than stock....

I'd say there is enough experience with Eibach and H&R in this forum to recommend them for use on the S. Each owner that has lowered their car with springs from either mfr will have their reasons for making their selection.

Some folks are still on the wall about camber correction kits for the car, but IMHO, at the very least, consider a camber correction kit for the rear. You will find the camber can no longer be adjusted back to factory specs.

the fronts may not be able to get back into spec either, I know Mine couldn't get into spec, but the tires don't appear to be wearing to uneven yet.
