It is strongly recommended that you do not put a staggered setup on the X because it is said to be harmful to the AWD system. I like the 19" coupe wheels too, so I'm a little disappointed that I can't use them on my G.

If two people bought sets of the coupe rims then you could each swap 2. This way someone would run 4 "front" rims and the other would have 4 "rear" rims.

u can go staggered but u just have to pull the awd fuse, many people here have done it,

i know quite a few of people on the FX forum that run staggered set ups on their AWD and they have no issues.

if the AWD system is the same it should no be a problem.

It's not the stagger that's the issue. It's the fact that on a AWD system, the front & rear tires (or left to right for that matter also) have to be the same height. That gives the same circumference.

I remember on my Subaru, if I needed to run the spare tire (which was not the same circumference) you would hear the differentials working overtime even as you drove in a straight line.

If you could somehow get staggered tires with the exact same circumference, I would then see no reason why you could not do it.

Am I wrong?

Jesse
