cannot decide on tires??

I decided to go with 235/50/18 and 255/45/18 using stock wheels.
The only two brands that got my attention after reading the reviews are:
1. Toyo T1-R - cheap price.
2. Goodyear F1 GS-D3 - $330 bucks more expensive.

Which one to choose in your experience guys?

Here always is summer and some raining (wet conditions).

Thanks to all.

Go Goodyear, better in rain. Pay the extra money. Be safe when you're fast.

Toyo T1-R are good tires but I have heard they wear down easy.

How about Bridgestone Potenza Re-01R 245/45/18 at all four corners?

Thanks to all of you for your responses.

I believe that Goodyears F1 GS-D3 is the choice. I'll put 235/50/18 and 255/45/18 on stock rims.

People talk VERY GOOD about Falken FK452, but they do not come in 225/50/18 or 235/50/18.

Thanks again for the input.

To hijack the thread and continue to ask questions along this point....

What are the implications of using the Stock Sport 18" front rims with 245/45/18 rubber?

Will this impact the abs system?

Would handling be affected negatively with 245/45/18 at all four corners?

Since the front rims are 7.5", would the rubber extend out of the fender well?

Toyo's

I have had mine on for 30K+ and still have decent life in them. They are quiet and sticky as well... Pilot sports were noisy to me (good tires but noisy)... I love da Toyo's

If the $330 is expendable, I would go for the Goodyears. I've had both on my Supra and I found I had slightly better traction with the Goodyears. Otherwise, the T1R's will do just fine.

I just installed the Toyo's on my car with 235/50 and 255/45.
They are not breakin yet but I went to a twisty road and I can tell you that the road feel is very good. very confortable on the bumps. Traction is high on these tires and price is very good. $800.00 total.
Let see what happens after 1K miles.
